Do you want to grow organic fruits and vegetables in your garden and don’t know where to start? Are you already an avid gardener that wants to add some edibles to your existing landscape and just needs a little guidance to start the process?
My services are perfect for anyone who wants to plant a few raised beds of vegetables, add a few fruit trees or tuck in some herbs, and needs advice on which ones will grow best in our area. If you are a seasoned gardener who wants to update an existing garden, convert a conventional garden to an organic one, or bring in companion plants and beneficial pollinators, I can help advise you on plant choices and solutions for problem areas.
How my services work – It’s easy. If you live in any of the North County areas of San Diego, my consulting services are available to you. I visit with you in your garden and determine your needs, identify a list of plants or groups of plants that would work well in your space, discuss options for obtaining the resources for your project, and provide recommendations on how to get started. I charge $50/hour, with the initial visit typically taking 1 ½ to two hours.
Initial Consultations – During the initial consultation you will receive information related to existing plants, advice on edible and ornamental plants that will work well for your space, general recommendations of how to improve the soil, and tips on caring for your edible landscape.
Installation of edible gardens – Anyone who needs help in planting a new edible garden or a seasonal update to an existing edible garden may want to take advantage of the convenient packages of 4 hours of consultation for $175.
